[News] Tribes 1 - Rereleased by the same people that made it before! by Outcome

Stay tuned to the "Tribes 1" link in the menu on the left... That is where we will find Tribes 1 re-released sometime soon.

If you hadn't heard, Garage Games / Instant Action purchased the entire Starsiege intelectual property from Vivendi Universal/Sierra (although technically Sierra is gone now). That means they own everything, including all Tribes games as well as all Starsiege games... even the source code.

You may say, "Who cares? It's just some other company that bought it..." Well Garage Games is made up of many of the former employees of Dynamix... which is the development team behind Tribes 1 and 2.

Garage Games also has recently produced Legions on www.instantaction.com... which is a spiritual successor to Tribes. If you haven't played it, check it out... Either go to www.instantaction.com or www.playlegions.com

But the biggest news is that they have announced that they are re-releasing Tribes 1 with a new update! They have fixed many bugs, cleaned up code, cleaned up some of the scripting, and are adding in online stat tracking and leaderboards. AWESOME STUFF!

Probably easiest just to click the "Tribes 1" link on the left side of this page in the menu.

ANYONE can join [[DD]] or not [[DD]] its cool it'll add up everyone's tribes time and combine them or any other games [[DD]] is in.
