Oh is that why?  It's because Torque Gaming Engine Advanced requires a newer graphics card... I think with at least shader 2.0... cant find that officially anywhere... but I think it is 2.0... most newer cards are like at 4.0 i think...

na you would need a newer graphics card... I know for certain that a Radeon x1800 runs it... u can find those pretty cheap now.  I myself would wait a month though... the Radeon 4870s will be out, and then the 3870s will go down in price a lot.  I'm running a 3870x2 which rocks...  (the x2 is a dual processor version).

Those are the Instant Action system requirements, which are found on the typical Support section on the main site. They apply to all their games, being they're all ran off the torque engine so on and so forth. Basically pretty low system requirements. Just about anyone can play, as long as their GPU, or onboard supports 2.0 Pixel Shaders, which if your computer is less than a year old you should have no problems at all, maybe even two. Also im pretty sure IA is not compatible with FireFox 3 yet, could be wrong. I personally didn't like legions, it's just not my cup of tea. I havent played it in over a month, so maybe they've changed the physics a bit, atleast I hope. They were terrible, the gameplay was just up and down, up and down.

I didn't mind the physics so much as the shadows... something about the Torque Shader Engine (aka Torque Gaming Engine Advanced) and the way it draws shadows... it just doesn't look that accurate.  The regular Torque engine does it fine... but the Shader engine (which is the one that Legions uses), seems to do it differently.  You can't tell the vertical height of players at all...

But Xact, I think that with the upcoming modifications that they are planning, the game will be much closer to the original Tribes, and less "arcade-ish".

Im pretty sure thats what makes it so unbearable for me to play. It was almost impossible to MA someone, unless it was just a spur of the moment lucky shot. I mean, it was fun for the first like 5 minutes, but i didn't like playing a game that made me dizzy. Perhaps i'll play it a little here and there, see how it progresses and what not. I hope you're right. I've really liked to have seen this game in stores if anything, not a browser driven interactive gaming center. . . Anyways, nothing really grabbed my attention about legions, maybe stick my nose in for some pubbing every now and then but that's it.

well im not planning on buying a new computer just to play. i did get to play at my friends house awhile back. its ok. took awhile to get used to the skiing thingy and cg is harder to use. i can ma a little. ctf is alot harder than t1 thats for sure. they should just fix up t1's graphics like in a dl like hudbot or makes skins or something. that would be awesome
